Looking for work in Basel without German
Basel sits where Switzerland, France and Germany meet, and it is best known as a city of pharmaceutical and life-sciences research. The English-language adverts this site finds here follow two lines: laboratory and clinical science, where teams are recruited internationally as a matter of course, and the software and cloud engineering that has grown up around them.
The largest employers in the city are mostly not on this page. The big life-sciences groups recruit through careers systems this site does not read yet — so Basel's biggest field of English-speaking work is the part least represented here. What you see is a small list that leans on a few employers; the names posting most today are shown under this note.
Many people who work in Basel live across the border in France or Germany, and Switzerland has a separate permit for that. Working in Switzerland without German covers the cross-border permit, health insurance and pay; Where the jobs are explains which industries advertise in English.
Advertising most here today: Avacone (18), Phoenix Technologies (5) and Sentec (4). Every listing links straight to the employer's own posting.
